Pablo Dopico (he/him)
I’m an MPhilStud student at King’s College London, working on Logic and the Philosophy of Mathematics — in particular, I study whether mathematics is determinate. In my free time, I enjoy reading poetry and emphasising how much I miss Spain’s sun. During my tenure as President of the BIPPA, I would like us to be a more inclusive and accessible association, and to foster regional communities of Philosophy postgraduates.
I’m a Keeling Doctoral Scholar at University College London, working on ancient metaphysics of mind. I’m originally from Italy, where I did all my taught studies. After a couple of years of travelling between Budapest, Durham, and Pavia, I joined the London philosophical community. When I’m not reading Plato, you could find me scavenging street markets for vintage watches, keeping attackers off the 18-yard box, or tending to my old vespa.
I am a masters student at Northeastern University London. I am interested in epistemology and philosophy of mind. During my time at BPPA, I hope to broaden the association's reach and create more opportunities for postgraduates in the UK!
In another life, I am also the CEO of a machine learning R&D company, www.azmvlabs.com.
Democracy & Outreach Officer
I’m a Masters student at the University of Liverpool! My research interests include: Asian Philosophy, Indian & Chinese Philosophy, in particular, Social Philosophy, focusing on Philosophy of Race, Philosophy of Sexuality & Feminist Philosophy, and the Philosophy of Mental Health.
I’m thrilled to be your D&O officer and help BIPPA to hear your voice!
Democracy & Outreach Officer
I’m an MPhilStud student at University College London, working on disparate topics in the philosophy of language, mathematics, and other related subjects. In particular, I am interested in the life and philosophy of Ludwig Wittgenstein. I hope that in my role as one of the Democracy and Outreach Officers I can help to promote our efforts and get those who are unfamiliar involved as much as possible!
Diversity & Inclusion Officer
I'm an MPhilStud student at King's College London, working on the nature of explanation, and separately, the nature of mental causation. Before coming to London, I studied philosophy and studio art in the US. Before that, I lived in China for 18 years. I hope that in my role as the Diversity and Inclusion Officer I can help to diversify the field and make philosophy more accessible to all.

She is author of ‘De Iside et Osiride’ (Primiceri, 2016), ‘Daimon, non abbassare lo sguardo’ (Aracne, 2017), and ‘Moral progress in Plato’s Republic’ (forthcoming). Her philosophical background has benefited of the intercollegial nature of the philosophy departments in Germany (LMU, Regensburg), Italy (Pisa SNS), United Kingdom (London). Recently, due to her love to open philosophy to the public, Alba has opened a society and library for the promotion of Classical Studies (HCSL) in Hampstead (London) where she lives. At the weekend she can be found jogging in Regents' Park.
