Call for Abstracts – BPPA 2025 Annual Conference

The British Postgraduate Philosophy Association (BPPA) invites submissions for presentation at our 2025 Annual Conference, to be held 28–29 October 2025 at Queen’s University Belfast, Riddel Hall (Isdell Courtyard).

We welcome abstracts on any area of philosophy from postgraduate students enrolled at UK-based institutions. Individuals who have previously completed a postgraduate degree in philosophy and are between programmes are also encouraged to submit, regardless of current enrolment status. We especially welcome submissions from members of groups underrepresented in academia.

Submission deadline: 19 September 2025

The conference will feature:

BPPA Workshop – practical career advice and professional development for postgraduate philosophers at all stages.

Annual Masterclass – an in-depth session led by world-leading experts on a selected philosophical topic.

Thanks to the generous support of the Royal Institute of Philosophy, limited travel bursaries will be available. If you wish to be considered, please indicate this in your application.

Presentation format:

Speakers will have a 30-minute slot (including Q&A).
