📢 Call for Submissions – BPPA Blog Series: Rough Draft

The British Postgraduate Philosophy Association (BPPA) is excited to launch Rough Draft, a new series on our official blog showcasing in-progress philosophical work from postgraduate students.

We welcome submissions of working papers and projects of various lengths and formats, from around 500 to 5,000 words. Your piece does not need to be publication-ready, but it should present a clear idea, argument, or concept you’d like to share with the BPPA community for constructive feedback.

Key details:

Open to: All postgraduate philosophy students (priority given to current BPPA members)

Quality: Submissions will not be formally peer-reviewed, but should meet the standards of postgraduate-level philosophical work in clarity, argumentation, and scholarly engagement

Format: Flexible—essays, outlines, conceptual sketches, or other written formats welcome

Frequency: We plan to post 1–3 papers per month, depending on submission volume and quality

By participating, you’ll have the chance to:

  • Share your work-in-progress with a national postgraduate audience

  • Receive informal, constructive feedback from peers

  • Join the conversation on emerging philosophical ideas

Submit your work: Click here to access the application form.

Let’s make Rough Draft a space for creative, open, and rigorous philosophical exchange.
