BPPA-MAP Reading Group Initiative

In a joint effort, the British Postgraduate Philosophy Association (BPPA) and the Minorities and Philosophy UK chapter (MAP UK) introduce the Decolonise your reading groups initiative. Aspiring both to educate ourselves on issues which are systematically disregarded in most university study programmes, and to help students interested in diversity, inclusion, and decolonisation to get to know each other, we aim to organise a series of online reading groups, which are to take place every two weeks. The reading group blueprints that we will be using are drawn from the Diversity Reading List website.

Our first reading cycle will be on Postcolonial Theory, Race and Caste and will begin in March 2023. The precise date will be announced according to the participants’ availability.

Anyone interested in the topic is welcome to attend. Please sign up using this form (we ask for name, e-mail, affiliation, if any, and availability): https://forms.gle/g69D5K21g5iorR4N6 .

Participants from outside the UK and the Republic of Ireland are also very welcome to attend.

If you have any questions or suggestions, please contact us at british.postgraduate.philosophy@gmail.com
