The British Postgraduate Philosophy Association (BPPA) is delighted to announce that we are now welcoming submissions of abstracts to be considered for our 2024 Annual Conference.
We have no restrictions on the subject of submissions. We welcome submissions from graduate students of any UK-based institution. People who have previously completed a postgraduate degree in philosophy and are in the transition to another are also welcome, regardless of their enrolment status. We especially encourage applications from all who identify as members of underrepresented groups in academia.
Event date and location: 17th-18th October 2024, University of Manchester
Deadline for abstract submissions: 12th September 2024.
The conference will also include the Annual Careers Workshop. In addition to this, we will also host the Annual Masterclass, a half-day event, as a part of our conference. The Masterclass is an opportunity for postgraduate students to learn about a certain topic from some of the world-leading senior experts on that topic.
Thanks to the generous support of The Royal Institute of Philosophy, some funding will be available for travel bursaries. If you would like to be considered, please let us know with your submission. For any further information, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
